Sacramento Marijuana Prevention Summit

December 6, 2017 / msaigeon / Events | Sheriff’s Community Impact Program | Sacramento, CA, General Interest | Sheriff’s Community Impact Program

Save the Date  — April 25th, 2018SCIP_CSHAA logo in gold and black

Recreational marijuana is now legal in California for adults 21 and over.

Research shows marijuana is 4 times more potent than it was 20 years ago and 1 in 6 youth who use will become addicted.

Our goal is to offer research, best practices and practical tips in preventing young people from engaging in marijuana use which is the reason we are pleased to partner with the Sacramento County Coalition for Youth to present the first annual Sacramento Marijuana Prevention Summit.

The Summit will be hosted at the Sierra Health Foundation on April 25, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

  • The event guest speakers and partners include individuals from the following organizations: County of Sacramento, the City of Sacramento, the Central Valley of California High Intense Drug Trafficking Agency, Uptown Studios and Sacramento Sheriff’s Department.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to hear from public health and policy experts.
  • Topics will include current trends, laws and ordinances, evidence-based prevention practices, youth access and drugged driving.

Be sure to save the Date as spots are sure to fill up!
