Summer Matters!

Summer is here, and it’s a great time to keep kids engaged and excited about learning.  A vast body of research shows that students who lack access to meaningful summer learning opportunities risk losing essential skills and knowledge (aka “summer learning loss”) during summer vacation that sets them back academically when the school year begins.

The SCIP believes in keeping our most vulnerable youth connected to their schools and community.
