The Sheriff’s Community Impact Program is currently seeking students who are in the 7th-12th grade and interested in being a part of leadership team.

The Sheriff’s Youth Leadership Council (YLC) consists of students from Sacramento County who share a desire to be an active member of a team of like-minded students who are committed to developing community-wide events and activities.  YLC members also attend statewide conferences at locations including Disneyland and Santa Cruz.

YLC is an excellent opportunity for students who possess the abilities to work within a group structure, share ideas, and more importantly, work hard to implement those ideas into action that have a positive impact on their community.

Meetings are scheduled twice per month (Thursdays), 6:00-7:30pm.  The meeting location is currently at Community Outreach Academy (COA) Middle School (Near Watt and Don Juilo).  As the YLC grows, our meeting locations will rotate throughout the County to accommodate the diversity of our Council.

To become a member of YLC, students are encouraged to print and complete the YLC Interest Form and return it to:  SCIP YLC |  2350 Northrop Ave | Sacramento, CA  95825

For more information contact:  333-6464 ext. 3106 or email Sergeant Shelly Hodgkins at shodgkins@sacsheriff.com

The YLC is a program funded by the National Police Activities League.
